Fans from across Yorkshire and throughout the UK are rushing to secure their chance to see Elton John perform live at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster on Saturday 12 July 2008.
Commenting on the fans response Jeremy Milnes, Commercial Director, Keepmoat Stadium, said: As soon as the ticket hotlines opened at 9am on Monday they were inundated with calls from fans desperate to be part of this amazing show.
“We’ve had people from all over the UK and beyond buying tickets for the concert and it is understandable when you think just what a massive star Elton John is. His live shows have always been legendary and everyone coming to this performance at the Keepmoat Stadium will be in for a night to remember.
“There are still tickets remaining for the show but I’d advise anyone wanting to see a true living legend to move quickly as interest and demand remain really high.”
The combination of Elton John, together with his band, performing in a seated outdoor venue, has always met with tremendous acclaim. This outdoor concert will be staged within the existing facilities of the Keepmoat Stadium, with reserved seating on the pitch.
The Rocket Man will perform over two hours of hits from an incredible back catalogue spanning over four decades, including the classic hits ‘Your Song’, ‘The Bitch is Back’, ‘Are You Ready For Love’, ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ and ‘Daniel’. Still in the charts after 37 years, Elton’s great hits are featured on the current CD, ‘Rocket Man – The Definitive Hits’, and on the Number One DVD ‘Elton 60’, the fabulous recording of Elton’s 60th birthday concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
