Doncaster Rovers v Leeds Match 16th February 2008
updated 12.15pm

16 Feb 08

Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of the Stadium Management Company said: “Following this morning’s announcement that the Doncaster Rovers v Leeds United match has been called off by the referee due to the pitch being frozen we can confirm that despite our best efforts to protect the area over night the pitch remains frozen.

“A recent inspection of the pitch has confirmed that the areas covered by the regulation pitch protectors are still frozen due to -7 degree temperatures over night.

“Our apologies go out to all fans who have made the journey to the Keepmoat Stadium for this much anticipated match. We are working closely with the football league to rearrange a date in the very near future and will keep all fans up to date with progress.

“We are willing to make the stadium available at extremely short notice to accommodate any new date.

“Tickets bought for this match will still stand for the rearranged date. Full refunds will be available for those who require them, Doncaster Rovers fans should contact the ticket office on 01302 762576 and Leeds United fans should contact their ticket office.”
